Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! I am going to watch the Texas A&M vs. LSU football game with my family today. I am not big on Thanksgiving, nor football, but it will be a fun day with the family!

One of the things I do enjoy about Thanksgiving, is well thankfulness. God has blessed me so much. Though my life is no where near perfect, I have many things to be thankful for.

Here are a few of them…

Chance being sound… He was off for a good while this time, so I was a little worried that it would be a long winter of no riding. But he has been back in work for nearly three weeks now, and is doing great!

The lessons that Chance has taught me… I think it is true that oftentimes the most challenging horses are the ones who have the most to teach us. Chance has taught me a new way of thinking when it comes to training horses, how to handle problems, and how to work through fear. There have been so many ups and downs these past five years, but I honestly wouldn’t change a thing.

This land… Even though this place is not mine, I am so in love with it. I am so thankful that my parents are going to let me live, and keep horses here. I am so thankful that I live in smaller, slower paced town. I am so thankful that I have a place to explore right outside my door.

Khloe… Of course my barn/adventure buddy has to be on this list! My dog Khloe has been helping me get through life for the past seven years. She’s still a handful at times, but I cannot imagine what my life would be like had I not impulsively adopted her all those years ago.

My family… My family rocks. Enough said.

What are you thankful for??
