There is no doubt about the fact that I work for horses. I became a realtor because it allowed me the flexibility in my schedule to ride. I am working hard on this land, so that I can keep horses out here someday soon. Last summer, I started an online fitness coaching business to earn extra income (without having to leave the house) on my own time, so that I can afford more horses and horse shows.
I have chosen the path of an entrepreneur because it will allow the freedom (and funds) to ride and show horses.
This is definitely not an easy path. My success (and income) entirely depends on me! But what I am creating will be so worth it!! I may be in the building stages now but I am working toward the lifestyle that I have always wanted. I am working all hours of the day, as well as weekends, so that one day I will have the freedom to truly make my own schedule – which will of course allow for lots of time in the saddle!
The equestrian lifestyle is not an easy one to obtain, or maintain, but it is possible! We just need a little creativity, a lot of hard work, and a stubbornly determined mindset!
