Life has been SUPER busy the past few months, and I have realized that I haven’t been taking care of myself like I should.
Whenever I get stressed, I tend to skip meals or just eat whatever is quick. I have been doing a lot of this, which then of course leaves me with little energy for my workouts and life in general; as well as unwanted weight loss. When weight loss is the result of skipping meals, or just not eating great, it is not a good thing! Food is our fuel!!! We need good food to fuel us for our workouts, daily lives, and of course our horses! I think not eating well often stems from simply not making ourselves (and our health) a priority. At least for me, anyway.
So, I have decided that starting today I am making myself a priority again! I am going to make healthy meals a non-negotiable! I truly believe that a healthy lifestyle starts with what we eat, so I am making a plan to keep myself in check since going with the flow and eating whatever is easiest has not been working for me!
Below you can see the meal plan I created for myself this morning, for the rest of the week. I kept it really simple, and based on the food I have for the next couple of days – as I plan to get to the store later in the week. I chose to do it in a Google spreadsheet so I can easily access it from all my devices. I am planning to make this a weekly habit, as well as try to get into meal prep!
We all fall off track sometimes, even those of us who typically always make health a major priority. Life gets crazy, and that’s okay. It is never too late to get back on track!
