For those of you that don’t know, my parents are building a farm and I am to live in their guest house once everything is complete. Well, that guest house is going to be an old log cabin!
A family friend gave my parents three log cabins off of their ranch in New Mexico. Two had enough logs that were salvageable, so we are putting them together to make a little house. My mom and I went to see the progress on Monday. They are being put up and together by a company out of Waco, Texas, called Heritage Restorations. They are putting them up and together at their facility, so that they can do the final drawings, then they will disassemble them and bring them here and reassemble them!
It has always been my dream to live in a log cabin, I guess you can blame it on my childhood obsession with Little House on the Prairie! I cannot wait until it’s complete!
