I finally finished nursing school, and I feel like a new person. I have free time again. I am not longer bogged down by stress and burnout. I am getting my life back. I know it sounds dramatic, but nursing school was such a huge commitment and took so much out of me. It also took over my life. Although the work isn’t done now, I still have NCLEX and starting my career to do, but I have time for life again. I have always found the real world to be way better than school too!
As a nurse, I will be working three shifts a week. Yes, they will be long (twelve hours) but I will have four days off. That is four days of riding, blogging, and doing anything else that my heart desires! I have worked two to three twelve hour shifts a week during school breaks and while they can be exhausting, there is always plenty of time for the things that I love!
It has been wonderful to be able to ride consistently again, get back into blogging, and I am planning to get back into the show ring next year! Flynn and I really just need to get to jumping courses, and we will be off!
For the first time in a long time, I feel like I can breathe. I am excited about the future, and I feel like myself again.
